Default surf casting in Port Monmouth, NJ

you might want to consider a surf lure called (Hatteras Doodlebug) its
deadly in the surf and used mainly by the tournament fishermen on the NC
coast..the fella making them has a website with all the needed info...

| i used clam in sea isle city NJ in july, didn't work. im going back to
| sea isle for the next two weeks, i can never seem to catch any fish
| while surfcasting. i cast real far. my line sometimes drifts to the
| side, and i always pull up a pound of seaweed. any suggestions?

Find a sandy bottom.

However, I don NOT know Sea Isle City :-(
