As the Pats could beat both the Jets and the 'Phins in the same day, it'll be up to the Gi'nts to do the job. But as The Other Tom pointed out, NY may not be highly motivated to put their best players out on the field for that game - even though it's on *their* turf in front of *their* fans. I don't see the Pats failing to set the undefeated regular season record (with two more games than the ancient Miami team)... /daytripper (as for the playoffs, I'll wait to see who they're facing) |

Wouldn't *that* be a wicked ****ah. BWAHAHAHAHA Why *did* the NFL destroy the tapes ? http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/16/sp...tml?ref=sports -- Ken Fortenberry |

![]() "Tom Littleton" wrote in message news:IEP8j.679$1X.23@trndny07... Well, congrats Op!! Delaware shot themselves in the feet, repeatedly, and that may have been the single worst officiated game I have ever seen(refs seemed bound and determined to kill any hint of momentum UD could maintain, and there is a bit of intrigue behind refs from the MEAC), but nonetheless, the better team won. Now, you have to get your ass up from Boone, and we'll enjoy a lobster. Bring wayno with you, and we can have wine with dinner!g Tom Well, well, well. Mr. Littleton, so how ya like me now!? :~^ ) Flush from Chattanooga with an unprecedented third consecutive National Championship, a 49-21 trouncing, and a lobster dinner to boot! :~^ ) I believe I called it with my ASU 42 to UD 13 prediction? ESPN contacted me and wants me to provide them with points spreads next season, but they didn't offer enough cash-- a mere 5 year 300 million dollar contract. I make more than that before breakfast each mornin'! Not only did the officiating suck--for both teams IMMHO, but the stadium PA system didn't work. No one could hear the announcer, and I was right up under the scoreboard. A majority of App fans were obnoxious twits, rushin' down from the stands with over 3 minutes left in the game, taunting the demoralize Delaware players. One Blue Hen was almost arrested, when he threw the ball in frustration at ASU fans, but hit a Chattanooga Sheriff's Deputy instead. Personally, I thought we should have been penalized for our fans actions. I stood at the *big* scoreboard end of the field the entire game--my feet ache like hell. We had a couple of ****ed-off Red and Blue "in the face" Hens behind us 'til one of them tried to start a fight with one of the fellas in my party. His buddies dragged him off--lucky for him, as he may well have beaten up my drunker than drunk co-worker, but he would have also spent some time in a Tenn. jail (think of a Turkish prison). They were cartin' folks of left and right. I was calm, cool, and collected the entire game, except that my feet were killin' me--having surgery on the 21st. Anyway, never, ever again question my psychotic abilities! :~^ ) Op --Lookin' forward to a lobster dinner, in PA., in the very near future.-- |

After watching the still-undefeated-at-home Celtics chop up the Bucks I tuned back to the Deuce to see ASU kicking ass and taking names. And as if the 48-14 score wasn't bad enough, last time I checked UD scored a late TD and the guy that scored whipped the football at a cop standing at the back line! Boy did that cop look *****ed*! /daytripper (Anyway, Mark's gonna be a first class pita now, for sure ;-) The cop started after the player, but some of his co-workers grabbed him. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200....ap/index.html For your enjoyment! Op --hell, I can't stand myself-- This, too, shall pass ;-) Congrats to you and your school, Mark. The team certainly came fully equipped with all the cans of whup-ass they could find - and used them well. /daytripper (now that's over, back to our regularly scheduled programs. Go Pats! :-) |
