Default Pflueger Reels ?

Bob, I like the Quantum QL3, I don't think they've made them for a few
years, I boought a few and have then in the shed waiting for the current one
to break down. I agree with the you get what you pay for, I also have a
Kinetic I used for Smallmouth bass up in PA.

Josh, If you want an inexpensive reel, I've had luck with Quantum. I
fish an 8 acre farm pond and have thrown a 3 inch grub up to a Jointed
Jitterbug with ease. I fish 4-5 times a week and it's held up for a
couple years already.

I whole heartedly agree that Quantum makes some great stuff, the problem
is they also make some cheap stuff for sale in the discount box stores.
When it comes to "you get what you pay for" Quantum is a perfect example.
Their mid and high price suff is excellent. I've got more than a dozen of
their bait casting reels, and you can't get a better flipping reel than
the AC500CX for less than a hundred bucks. Even over a hundred my next
step is just to the AC500PT for 119.

BUT (note the large but) you can't go done to Wally Rolled or K-Barf and
get a great reel for 29.95. On the flip side, I have to say even the
29.95 Quantum Snapshot fishes well for a while. Better than some other
cheap reels I have tried. Its a good choice for a once a year for only on
his vacation type angler. I gave all my old ones to my dad and he thinks
they are great for his once or twcie a year fishing outing.

Just wondering what the take of the group is on the quality of spinning
reels made by Pfleuger ? Looking at the mid sized reels. Any comments or
thoughts . . . thanks in advance.
