New fishin' and campin' vehicle

Santa gave me a late x-mass gift. Payments on a 2008 automobile. My poor
little Toyota Tercel blew its rear main oil seal again, in less than 6 month
after havin' the engine rebuilt. So, rather than drive around spewing oil
all over the highways and byways of NC, I decided to go shoppin' yesterday,
after much prior internet research.

I had been lookin' at the Honda CR-V, but after seein' one up close and
personal, I decided it wasn't going to fit my needs. Too much carpet on the
floors and too little room inside. I wanted a fishin'/campin' vehicle that I
could stretch out and sleep in, if weather conditions got too nasty, one
with fuel economy that would allow me to drive it up to Penn. or out West,
if I can find the funds, and one that is reliable.

I settled on a Honda Element. It has lots of room. Gets around 24mpg
highway, and has a composite flooring that will be easy to vacuum, as it
will fill very quickly with loads of German Sheperd hair/fur?! I looked at
several *certified Pre-owned* models, but they all cost so close to a new
model that I figured I might as well go new.

Anyway, I can haul a fishin' buddy and lots of gear around--hint, hint--

Well, congrats and all, and if he tries to put any of that sorry-assed
low-octane gas in it, I'd say waterboard him and sell the tapes to the
AFL-CIO...wait...that doesn't sound right...ah...destroy the tapes,
waterboard the car, and sell jeff to the AFL-CIO...yeah, that's sounds
better...

even a casual view of the goods would evoke an immediate rejection of
the sales offer...but the aclu might pay a few pennies.

I loved my little red '82 Tercel. It was my first Japanese car, and
it made me a believer. It met an untimely end ($2500 damage, $1500
book value) at 103K after interacting with a deer; but it was still
going strong. Damned reliable and fun to drive, too. I was sad when
they towed it away.

I loved my little red '82 Tercel. It was my first Japanese car, and
it made me a believer. It met an untimely end ($2500 damage, $1500

aclu? Hell, why'd them trojans want some broken down ol' lawyer who'd
probably, ahem, run out of low-octane gas on the first kick...besides,
they already lost to byu, so I don't see how you'd be any help anyway,

Yakama is selling some really neat rooftop cargo carriers for the
Element and Scion. There about 16" wide and 18" high. They are
shapped and colored like the top of a slice of bread. You need the
left and right for the effect. They open from the side and look like
they would hold a lot stuff. They come in White, Rye, Sourdough,
Wholewheat etc.

Mark...I believe you'll like your choice! ...Did my share of eyeball'n
vehicles before buying an '07 Element recently. These funny-looking little
Hondas are made-to-order for fishermen (especially if you like to pack an
inflated belly-boat around). If you haven't found it already, here's a good
