Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaa and pass me the Samuel Adams!!! :-)
It was a banner day for *me* - my two favorite teams in the NFL are going to
meet in the Super Bowl!

Even though Tom Terrific had his worst game of the year, the outcome of the
AFC Championship Game was never in any doubt ;-)

Props to the San Diego quarterback for playing the full game when it was clear
he was having problems getting much on the football.

Many more props to the offensive and defensive lines for the Patriots, who
provided the ground game to make up for the off-day passing attack, and for
taking the run offense totally away from San Diego. Fantastic work in the
trenches!

As for the NFC Championship Game: The score doesn't reflect it, but anyone
that watched the entire Ice Bowl game knows damned well the New York Football
Giants took it to the Packers hard and often, and dominated that game!
Fabulous victory - even though it took three field goal attempts to finally
hit the one that ended it. Stats are lopsided in favor of the Gi'nts,
reflecting how they controlled the game nearly from the jump.

The odds aren't up yet, but I expect to see the Pats favored by somewhere
around 12 points. I'll be rooting for my home boyz, certainly, to make even
more history than they've already done this year. But I'm very happy for the
Giants for going the distance.

Lastly, if Favre puts himself out to pasture as the result of this game, it
will be a sad day for football. The guy is a lion of a competitor...

This could turn out to be the worst Stupor Bowl of all time.
I mean New York versus Boston ? Blech. If there was a god in
heaven she'd figure out a way for BOTH of them to lose. I'll
bet that most of the football fans in this country couldn't
give a **** care less about a goddamn New York/Boston game.

I think I'll just run a replay of the 1967 Dallas/Green Bay
NFL Championship game during the Stupor Bowl this year.

If you need further discouragement, it's being broadcast on Fox.

Waaah waaah waaaah! America-hater! ;-)

One of those teams is gunning for history. Based on that aspect, I betcha it's
one of the most-watched "stupor-bowls", ever!

/daytripper (And I bet Hatriots like you can't help themselves but watch ;-)

Yeah, yeah, *if* I watch the Stupor Bowl this year I'll only
be watching the commercials. The commercials are entertaining,
New York/Boston is crappy kerfuffle.

Got that right with Buck and Aikman calling the game.
Had enough of those Coors Light Coach Commercials...
