It were Joyce, were it not who penned the phrase.
"Work, the curse of the drinking class."

I believe that was Oscar Wilde.

Your right. I was drinking when first I heard it.

Works for me.

When I was in Ireland I learned the Irish invented lutefisk.
It was part of a conspiracy to poison the Viking invaders.
But the barmy *******s ended up liking it.

I also learned that Irish whiskey was invented by the devil,
in order to keep the Irish from taking over the world.

.....when it comes to whiskey, I like Lagavulin, Highland Park,
Laphroig. But I can't afford it often. They sell an Islay
scotch for 33 bucks at my local licker store that's pretty good.

(the Stockman's bar in Missoula says that over the front
window, don't they? Liquor in the front, poker in the rear?)

Just a reminder for those who like Scotch that Burns night is on the

Wouldn't like any roffians to be caught having failed to instruct their
womenfolk to lay in a good store of haggis and neeps in the larder.

Aye, and we're all Gaels together! With a little more luck, Robbie
could have been Irish.
