I've seen the light and I've become a reformed nympher -- no more bobbers for this lad. d;o) Didn't I see Mr. Charles using a SI on the Saugeen about four weeks ago? BTW, I promise to finish that film this week if the sun ever comes out. Probably take lots of pictures of the new RS-6. Took it to the track on Monday. I've never been in a car, including a race car, that goes that fast so quickly. I'll post the pics of your beautiful Saugeen Salmon that you caught on a strike indicator. d;o) Dave http://hometown.aol.com/davplac/myhomepage/index.html |

Bite me Louie d;o) That prime specimen was taken on a magnificent rendition of a classically tied spey fly on the end of a traditional down-and-across swing. And I have its mangled remains to prove it. At no time did a bobber ever adulterate my line. Not from where I was standing. Big ole orange thingy it was. You, OTOH, rolled a bloody great egg, underneath a bloody great bobber!!!! Yes. And I learned something on that trip. Your guide is not always right. The fish I hooked up with were on the purple and white streamers I used the previous year. Eggs suck. BTW, can't wait to get my greedy little clutches on your RS-6. EG Only if Scott is there so we can hard-ass him about it. d;o) Dave http://hometown.aol.com/davplac/myhomepage/index.html |

However, any time ya wanna go on pavement, you let me know. d;o) Now, if I go to Penns, I'd bring the Land Cruiser, and that wheezer APOS driven by an old wheezer like you will be no match for the "Farm Implement." This time, *I* go first and throw stones at you. If you are within 200 feet when we stop at the end, you win. However, I expect the speeds to be such that your vehicle will again fail like it did last year. APOS (Look for the union label.......) d;o) BTW, who you bunking with? Is there room for me? |

I will provide impartial judging and strong drink. Will also drive myself to and from in the Fabulous Fishing Car, which will also be used to carry debris from this no doubt ugly spectacle. Might I suggest we also fish a bit? Tom |

Did you hear the nymph guys trying to explain to the newbie how to cast lead and nymphs ? They recommended heaving, tossing and chucking. Heaving and tossing and chucking is what you do at an all night kegger, it is NOT fly fishing. In my humble opinion. ;-) And I'm glad you've seen the light. ;-) ;-) -- Ken Fortenberry |
