They were, without a doubt, the worst casting rod I've ever had the unfortunate experience of casting. The design concept for the rod is fundamentally flawed. That was my experience as well. I cast one that Walt sent me and promptly sent it back. I don't know if Bruce & Walker is still making the Hexagraph or not but the Bruce & Walker Hexagraphs Walt Powell was bringing to the US were broomsticks.
