And then there's the other side; In the U.S., "liberalism" is actually extremely statist, promoting intrusive government intervention in the economy, and promoting the interests of groups (racial, ethnic, sexual) over those of individuals. There's a good reason that "liberal" is a swearword in the U.S. It's a toxic, freedom-destroying ideology here. |
