Have you ever heard of p-line flouroclear? The local tackle shop has it
on spool and sells it for 3 cents a yard. Preety darn good deal. 75
cents for 25 yards...

Many people I know use both nylon and F-carb line for tippet. If you need
250 yds of 4# f-carb as tippet, you can probably save a lot of money. I
have no idea if line and tippet are made the same way.

Yes, I have used it, with success. anmd this would be nearly the same cost
when you combine the shipping for 2 spools. This is a higher grade of line
that the p-line.
