Default Terminator Spinnerbaits

I fish a small 7 arce pond 98% of the time, I've always like Terminator
Spinnerbaits in the 1/8 oz. Tiny T model, I like it that a 3-4 pound fish
does not destroy it or that I need to retune it.

The last 2 I've bought both had the whole swivel & blade come off, I don't
think I'm ruff on them, I place them in a binder when not in use. Anybody
else been having problems with these Tint T's?

I use 6 pound line and only replace them when I hang one up in a tree or
give them to a kid who's been watching me catch them when he's not.

Mike

Look at the break and see if you can figure out from the surface area if its
been bent and twisted to break or if it was a defect in the wire. A
magnifying glass may help. Contact Terminator and send them a couple picks
of the broken baits.

I have not used their spinnerbaits, but I really like the recessed line tie,
and the wire bait holder on their jigs.

Good stuff.

Terminators losing blade/swivel assemblies is pretty much standard
operating procedure. I know some guys who actually heat the wire at the
loop to be able to close it down tighter with a pair of pliers. Others
put a drop of superglue on end of the wire to keep the loop from opening
enough in normal use to allow the split ring to slide through the gap.

Mike,
Their website sucks, but try this number - 800-944-4766

I have found that whenever I have had a problem with a product, that
if I contact the manufacturer directly and explain the problem
politley and ask THEM what the solution is, they almost always respond
in a positive manner. I had a problem similar to yours a few years
back, with Little Cleo lures. I sent them an email, and they replied
asking for a couple of more details. They requested that I send them
one of the defective products - they settled for a few digital photos.
About a week later, I went to my mailbox and there was a package from
the company - with 2 dozen assorted lures. YMMV

I had numerous problems with the titanium wire breaking on various sizes of
Terminator spinnerbaits.

In their defense, they did replace every broken spinnerbait, usually at a
ratio of two to one broken. But it got to be a hassle and with Secret
Weapon spinnerbaits, getting a spinnerbait bent isn't as much of a problem
as it is with a conventional spinnerbait. You might want to look at
http://www.secretweaponlures.com and see if there's something there you
like. I'm sure you'll manage to find something......

Thanks for all of your help. I'll give them a call and take it from there.
Might have been a bad batch like was mentioned, I might go through 15-20 a
year so who knows...
