The ongoing saga of Stan Gula's health battles continues. He was working in
the yard and somehow ended up with a bad infection in his leg - bad enough
that it landed him in the hospital via the emergency room. It seems that the
IV antibiotics kicked in in time, but there were worries he might lose his
leg. He tells me if this happens he's going to get a hook for a leg so he's
ready for Talk Like a Pirate Day next year. I volunteered to poke him in the
eye to complete the transition. In typical Stan fashion, his main concern is
that he's probably going to miss the upcoming Jethro Tull concert.

Seriously, send thoughts, prayers, and good vibes his way. He can use 'em.

Well, ****house mouse...I thought an operative like you mighta had some
info as to McCain's veep...imagine my surprise when I found it to be
something important...

If you can, pass along our wellwishes and hopes for a speedy
recovery...if not, any ideas as to where to send all the ****...?

TC,
R
....and Stan - if you've managed to find a way to read this - hope you
don't need an aqualung or anything - get well soon - R

Thanks wayno, jeffie, and all the others who sent comments. I need to
get back on my feet - really. I've watched way-too-much Ice Road
Truckers and Dirty Jobs and Andrew Zimmern over the past 2 weeks. I
need beer and pizza and normalcy!
