I've posted in 8 newsgroups and the longest ever thread initialized by me
was 157 posts long.
I have 207 posts so far this year (and 174 replies) in 114 threads, which
leaves me at 23 place as far as number of posts are concerned.

I had absolutely no idea such things were kept track of. AND I was really
surprised at my stats.
Need to move to a warmer place on earth and get some more fishing done
instead of this newsgroup thing.

BUT HEY, what the hell are you guys doing that have posted in more than 50
newsgroups?? ;-)

I think it's pretty cool that the activity on ROFF took a big (though
temporary) downturn in June and July. Apparently, everyone was too busy
fishing to worry about meatloaf recipes and such. :-)

Another lesson is that trip reports and other on-topic threads cannot
compete with off-topic political screeds and originally on-topic threads
run wild (e.g., the longest thread by far: Fishing ON FOOT in Puerto Rico).
