Obama's speech last week."

And on a side note...42 million is the same as 38 million?

Ok, not that I really care, but did your school have you in their SPED
programs - or is English a third language for you?

From the first link, it looks like the writers simply rounded up both sets of
totals to "over 42 million". No big deal - it's not a huge stretch, and it
sounds weightier - but that's still no win for you, bub.

And from your second link, "JEFFREY BROWN: Eighty thousand in the stadium and,
according to Nielsen, more than 38 million people around the country."

Apparently, you chose to ignore "According to Nielsen" - when that is the
exact same 38 million Nielsen number that has been reported by every news
outlet that has carried the story. It doesn't include the PBS numbers - as
also noted by every news outlet that reported all of the viewer tallies.

So, the bottom line is still this - which I will quote once again:

"PBS, which compiles its figures separately, said that about 2.7
million tuned in for its coverage Thursday night -- down from 3.2
million for Palin and 3.5 million for Obama's acceptance speech."

"That makes McCain's total audience nearly 41 million, compared to
nearly 42 million for Obama and about 40 million for Palin."

In summary, after all your "double-aught secret" baloney, you had and have
nothing credible that anyone here couldn't get out of a newspaper. And your
comprehension capabilities are now just as suspect...

Nice work.

/daytripper (this is going quite badly for you. Maybe stop digging? ;-)

OK. So let's do some math. 38 million, according to PBS, watched Obama
minus the 3.5 million attributed to PBS equals 35.5 million viewers from
other-than-PBS sources. So that should be the Nielsen number. But the
Nielsen number is actually 38.379,000 (and 27,716,000 households,
compared to McCain's 28,298,000 million HHs...). Gee, you'd think PBS
would have included their own viewers in their own report...

"That makes McCain's total audience nearly 41 million, compared to
nearly 42 million for Obama and about 40 million for Palin."

In summary, after all your "double-aught secret" baloney, you had and have

Naw...

Hmmm...strange...the Nielsen numbers are the same, but the PBS
_estimates_ are different..."PBS estimates its audience for McCain was
3.5 million..." and Obama's speech was seen by 4 million...gee, don't
these folks at PBS have any real idea of the numbers?
