I think that not answering him is a better idea. ...

That trick never works.

I didn't mean it or think it to be a trick. The man is obviously
sick. Leave him alone.

That's the reason I stopped, John. I wouldn't be surprised to hear
that Mike has killed himself. I hope he doesn't. He truly needs
professional help.

OK, I'm not such an insensitive lout that I can't appreciate
impending suicide. So here's my thoughts on how to deal with His
Loony Mikeness. To every Loony Mikeness post some designated roffian
will append a disclaimer, something along the lines of:

Disclaimer: "This guy is crazy, pay no attention to his posts, but
please don't ever post any questioning or disagreement because we
think this guy is so bonkers he just might off himself."

I think he tried this himself, only he did it in reply to your posts. It
got annoying real fast. The idea sounds too much like one of his tactics
for me to want to emulate it. I also don't think much would be
accomplished. It would just give him the attention he seems to crave,
and set him off on another series of tirades. Or god help us, another
series of posting links to his photos.

I think its best to ignore him. None of this is funny, just sad.

Bah, you're just jealous because his underwear pic was cuter
than your tightie whitie, breakfast cooking underwear pic. ;-)

It seems a shame to abandon a source of such great entertainment.
And by entertainment I don't mean "funny" in the "Ha Ha" sense
more like "funny" in the "Oh, my, gawd" sense. I suppose poking
the loony is a bit cruel but I don't know of a single person on
earth more deserving of a little bit of cruelty.

This is what I've been thinking JR. It's not one sick person here, it's
a whole bundle.....

Give me a ****in' break. Those who want to paint His Loony Mikeness
as a victim are as crazy as he is......

My question was only addressed to those who have said they think
Mike is actually, truly mentally ill and should seek help.

Those who think he's just "loony" or "crazy" or a "nutjob" in the
everyday colloquial sense, carry on, by all means. I don't
understand, though, how someone can taunt and goad and mock a
person they honestly think is ill.

It isn't at all difficult to understand.......unless one supposes (sans
anything resembling supporting evidence) that those doing the taunting are
fundamentally decent human beings. None of this would be the least bit
interesting except that, quite the contrary, it takes willful blindness to
the daily demonstrated fact that we have among us a hardcore cadre of
INdecent human beings whom the majority here persist in calling "friends,"
making this place much like any other place in the world.

Others will, of course, subscribe to alternate theories.

Years ago, a crowd of college students taunted and cajoled a student
to leap to his death from one of the dorm towers at Boston University.
Universal attidude was that the real sick people were the ones in the
crowd. It is irrelevant to the story whether or not he actually ever
jumped.

Well, one needs to be real careful with those universal attidudes. ;-)

Quite true. Seems a few people have gained the insight. It was about time.

Whatever the case may be, it is obviously quite pointless continuing to
try and shame Fortenberry or anybody else here in to anything even
approaching normal decent behaviour. They obviously donīt care what
others think of them. Even the usual veneer of civilisation seemns to
have been rubbed off here. In the meantime it has reached the point
where it merely makes me feel extremely disgusted with myself. There is
little point in fighting hopeless causes, after a while it becomes
difficult to see any difference between what one is trying to combat,
and oneself, and it wont make any difference really, because the people
concerned will always be nasty vile lying subjects, it seems to be part
of their nature.

Having read a few of the latest posts, Isa also says that these people
are not only very nasty, but obviously very stupid as well. She too is
quite right.

Presumably the greatest "punishment" for these people is that they seem
compelled to endure each other and their public displays of ignorance,
stupidity, and nastiness, all in public, and knowing exactly what they are.

Canīt say it was nice knowing any of you, and in any case I have better
things to do.

One can only hope you get the lives you deserve, or wish on others.

Mike Connor
