Myron Well I tried out the Super fly last week on the Touchet River and it/ we caught a scrappy (8") Cut. It was very cold, 11-3pm fishing, zip on water. I know there were lots of blue bottle flies around because my camper was full of them, dead and sluggish. The deer here had a Blue-Mouth die-off all along the river. Anyone have more info on the practicallity of using these large Diptera immitations in the late fall/early winter? The surprise fly this trip was Svend Tang-Petersen's Trigger Nymph. I caught 2 nice little Bows. This is a totally new fly to me but it seems not others. I am going to try to tie it. I plan to fish them all, even the prettiest.:-) Dave |
