Last time on Hot Creek I had an interesting encounter. I was just swinging by there for about half hour on the way home. Not in the mood to stalk and crouch I reached into the flybox for a big ugly. Turk's tarantula. Perfect. Let's look for a dumb fish. I began walking and smacking that fly as hard as I could. I came upon an underwater ledge where a group of suckers were doing their thing - sucking. There were so many of them it was disgusting. As I made my next cast a 20+ brown emerges from within that writhing mass of suckers and pounds my fly. I stood there paralyzed as the big brown spit the fly and disappeared back below the sucker orgy. Mu |
