Nope. Assuming you have either a trailer hitch or some other closed, steel
loop (towing, tie-down, whatever), get one of these:

I picked mine up at home depot for 20 bucks. Hang it off the safety-chain
loop on my trailer hitch.

I use it for camping, fishing, races, anytime I don't want to carry a key.
Works perfectly.

Why not just put the key in a small zip-lock baggie and put it in your
pocket?
