My first thought was that Sage had a relative few extras still rattling around the shop for some reason, and someone figured out that there were two choices - sell 'em cheap as a close-out OR make 'em seem like a bargain at any price and get tip-top dollar, pardon the sorta-pun Sage has a program for it's dealer network where they will make a run of their discontinued rods as long as the dealer(s) buy the whole batch. Last I heard the minimum number was 50. These will be new rods with the warranty and of course they will carry the full retail price. |
