possible virus attack--please help

Yes, it's a virus. Call 272-2999 (Computer Consignment), ask for Steve.
Unhook the CPU and take only it to his shop. You'll get it back in 24-36
hours with the problem fixed and instruction on how not to let it happen
again. 50-75 bucks depending on how hard it is to get at.

such sophistication and flexibility that you're just ****ed.

About a $1000 a subsidized ton...unfortunately, the Feds then get 80% of your
garden, assess a retroactive tax, tell your ag supplier they'll be repaid at 5.3
cents on the dollar, and fire you if you don't agree to merge with a French
turnip producer...IOW, if you think your computer has been, um, conficked, you
ain't seen nuthin' yet...

Download AVG (free) and it will trap any virus and isolate it for you
to delete.

Excellent bit of software.

Avast Anti-virus is free also. I quit using AVG because I was having
trouble with the automatic updates on my laptop. I still use it on one
desktop. It's a very good anti-virus though. If you're using Firefox
you might try Adblock Plus. It's an add on. I also use Super
Antispyware also free. Jim
