He's a sanctimonious, rude, and "do you know who I am?" asshole of the Nth degree. He belongs in Illinois. POTM. And he does belong in Illernoise. LOL !! Always nice to hear from the loonies on the right. The GOP is curling itself up into a tight, white, little ball of angry and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm enjoying the spectacle. Um, and while I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with your premise, FWIW, there's a good chance he's right, insofar as Congress is concerned - his intellect is well-respected by staffers (and for as long as he has been in, that's a ****potfull of know-it-all smartass recent grads), and he's been voted the "smartest" Congressman. Whatever you feel about him personally or his politics, give the man his due - he's pretty smart, esp when compared to much of the Congressional competition.... And I'll take him and give you points that he's damned sure smarter than someone who a) follows Lyndon DaDouche, and, b) carries around a picture of Obama-as-Hitler... TC, R |

I don't think that's dangerous at all, in fact it's a downright goddamn refreshing thing to see in a politician. I'd much rather have a smart man in office who is dismissive of fools than some mealy-mouthed dumbass who panders to every idiot on the block. -- Ken Fortenberry |

Barney Frank dismisses anyone who disagrees with him (and even many who do) as a fool. That doesn't mean there aren't some fools in the bunch, but not everyone qualifies. I'm not putting forth that Mr. Frank is not smart - he is. He's also an arrogant son-of-a-bitch who *knows* he's got a keener view of the truth than everyone else - regardless of the facts. I mean, saying something like "These two entities - Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - are not facing any kind of financial crisis. The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing" doesn't seem like something that makes him wizard-smart in hindsight, does it? I'd say, as Financial Services Committee Chairman, it even makes him dangerous. -- TL, Tim ------------------------- http://css.sbcma.com/timj |

It is truely amazing how so many of these know nothing/say no- to-everything/ coupon-clipping America Haters, who pretend to be "conservatives" instead of getting treatment for their various personality disorders, . . . want to build libraries and plant monuments to such illustrious mental giants as toe-tapping dancer Tom De Lay, Rev. Ashcroft, and Delusional Raygun, or make macho heroes out of armchair bad-shot phonies like John Wayne, GW, and Dick-less Cheney,... and cast moral paragons out of gambling addict Bennett, and the patron saint of masochistic male prostitutes, Karl Rove and classic angry pervert, Grover Norquist. But, you know, I would defend to the last round the right of all the phony "conservative" America haters to occupy any stall in any dirtbag truck stop in this great country of ours, and their God Given right to toe-tap any willing adult into any disgusting act or otherwise as provided in the secret codicil of the new RNC platform. Just as long as they leave the children, and the disabled alone, and pay their condo fees on time. Which, once again proves that I am a tolerant man. Dave the Moderate |
