"Teddy was thrown out of Harvard in 1951 for cheating"
"but the senator's carousing -- and testimony about him wandering about the house in his shirttails and no pants" "Kennedy drove his car off a bridge and into a pond on Chappaquiddick Island, on Martha's Vineyard. Mary Jo Kopechne, a 28-year-old worker with RFK's campaign, was found dead in the submerged car's back seat 10 hours later." Nice legacy, Teddy... Guess you didn't have it in you to stick around long enough to get voted out like the rest of your croonies will in 2010... |

She suffocated. So, somehow, the drunk managed to get out of the car underwater and close the door behind himself so she would suffocate instead of drown. I say "murder one". He also negotiated with the Soviets behind Reagan's and the state department's backs -- can we cay "treason". (That was discovered in the KGB's archives.) Have you heard his nasty, vitriolic comments on the senate floor about Judge Bork and Clarance Thomas? This is not a nice man by any stick. He tried to destroy these mens careers and even their very lives. Lets not forget the "waitress sandwiches". What a pervert. And, no not "there but for the grace of god". Who anyone could compare there tribulations in life to that pig is incredulous. Just my 2 cents. -T |

For the other part, please demonstrate for us all how one can open, and then shut, a car door behind oneself while not allowing water inside. Just my 2 cents. you have a highly inflated sense of worth, based on reading this, Todd. Tom |

I have heard rumors (and that's all they were) about her being pregnant. As far as his leaving the car and closing the door, I don't know. But I do know that she could have been saved. There was a pocket of air in the car and she took shelter in it, breathing it until the CO2 killed her. If he wasn't drunk he could have gotten help or helped her himself. His abandonment of her, going to sleep (probably to sober up), and not reporting it until it was too late is the part that bothers me about his character. His "trial" was a travesty. He should have gone to jail. Dave |

Tom, I was trying to say it was darn next to impossible for him to get out of the car and leave her to suffocated and not drown. Also his actions after the crash, walking by fire stations, waiting for the crash to be found by others, waiting till he was lawyered up before reporting, are that of a guilty man. Again, based on his actions, I strongly suspect he was not even in the car when it went overboard. Again I say "murder one". Just my 2 cents. you have a highly inflated sense of worth, based on reading this, Todd. Tom Especially if you mis read what I was saying. I do think what we conservatives need to understand, and it is demonstrated amply here by our liberal friend, is that their morality is no longer the same as ours. Right and Wrong are that of the Marxists. "Right" is what servers their cause ("revolutionary") and "Wrong" is what does not serve their cause ("counter revolutionary"). Liberals will accept any kind of odious behavior from their heroes if their hero advances their cause. I firmly believe they wound not have criticized President Clinton if he had raped a woman on the White House lawn and it had been caught on three home videos. I can not wait for the liberal weaping when their precious Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro finally kicks the bucket. -T |
