As a reminder of what we went through on that day, I used Google
Groups to do a search of ROFF from 11 Sep 2001 to the 15th of the
month. Its an amazing treasure trove of our feeling, thoughts, anger
and fears.
Gherke was alive, folks were ****ed and confused. Really interesting.

Some folks were at Lakewood for the 2nd Maine Clave. The Boy Lawyer
made it out of NC as far as (I think) Cleveland where he stayed for
several days. Jeffie got stuck in the DC area (Baltimore?) where he
rented a 9 passenger van (the only vehicle they had), announced he had
it and was going to Maine, and pretty much paid for it with the people
he transported. Vince flew in his own plane from PA, and was grounded
for a couple of days in Berlin, NH. We caught some fish, but it just
wasn't the same.

I was on holiday in North Wales. we got back to our hotel room and
switched on the TV some time late afternoon. I saw the news report and
thought I was watching a film. I was devastated and shocked to realise
it was actually happening.

So very very sad.
