Over the years there have been several similar products on the market....nothing really new here. It does work for basic instruction, but because there is no "feel", it doesn't really substitute for actual casting practice. Injun Joe says---having yesterday committed to another trip to Yellowstone this summer I ordered the BRF thing a mig just a few minutes before reading all this. For 19 years I have been jut tossing a small bug out on the water and waiting to see if anything happens. The big fish behind Slider's Inn best beware as I stroll out and enjoy a more deliberate and quiet pleasure of thinking through and executing skillful dry-fly presentations.* * that's what Lefty calls it. |

You see, when you start getting all deliberate and start 'thinking through and executing', you just get all that more ticked off when the trout ignore you. Worse still, you might end up missing rises and get all ****ed off. "Nine fish!!" comes to mindg, geez, I hope Roger returns to our streams again, he deserves his revenge on Penn's trout.... Tom |
