Yeah, but they're a bitch to drag to classes. Money ain't really an issue, as I found a gold card (VISA) on the property the other day shootin' at a deer. All the folks that I told about my find claim it's just a pyrite card , but I know they're just jealous and want to steal my claim! Eruieren = A derivative of "erudition". My own experiences of such things in the past, has made me a lot more circumspect and tardy when buying a lot of stuff. The longer I now think about such things, the more I realise that I donīt really need many of them. Of course, being poverty stricken also helps a lot! ![]() You actually caught a gold visa card poaching??? Hope you took its number! Your mother may not always be right, but she will always be your mother. Op --who'll be studin' them word books more carefully-- Fornication with dictionaries, however carefully this is initiated, is unlike to result in elucidation or noesis, and may indeed merely result in frustration and pain! I bet if I brought some tying gear down and helped you tie up something managable that caught a few fish, you discover why so many fishermen tie their own flies. I've only been at it for about a year, and now there are a handful of patterns I use that I will never purchase. I still have to buy some of the more complex ones, though, and I expect I always will. --riverman Nope. I'm in the winter state. MN. I think I'd love Sedona or at least the area. Prying my husband out of here, where he loves his golf course and his golf buddies and his golf job, would be the killer. Though some of those more easterly semi-southern states look good, too. I can understand why people like to do it. It's art or craft. Very personal art or craft.. Just not my kind of art . I've heard what it can run in long term costs. Buying new releases of every art program I've ever owned for the computer every single year probably wouldn't come near it. -- rbc:vixen,Minnow Goddess,Willow Watcher, and all that sort of thing. This was once an art in itself. The following quote is by no means a personal criticism. If you donīt want to tie flies, then you donīt want to. It just seems appropriate to the thread, and the original post. "The fly fisherman who knows nothing of his flies is as great an anachronism as the painter who knows nothing of his paints. More, he is a bad man of business". (J.W. Dunne, "Sunshine and the Dry Fly" 1924) TL MC |
