Please give me the following, and with the exception of the 25-75 number, all

Any single number/digit in any of your addresses (home, office, PO Box, your

any single number from any two of your phone numbers (2 total numbers),

any single number from your bar card (or hell, some shopper's discount card in
your wallet),

the day any of your children were born (i.e., 2 if April 2nd),

pick any number from 1 to 10,

pick another from 25 to 75.

I don't need or want the entire number for any of the above...****, just make up
7 random numbers that'll fit into the above.

Thanks,
R

you're welcome....

OK, then, I'll pick, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 39. Now, let's see what those
numbers correspond to on your CnP of "why Jeff Miller would vote for Obama
again...as told by others..."...

HTH,
R

you asked for 5 reasons...i gave you a CnP list containing a bunch of
reasons and accomplishments. that you disagree with them, without regard
to the source, and that you would no doubt disagree with any offered, is
expected. imo, you really weren't interested in anything other than
continuing your argument, and more of the tiresome mantra, about obama.

i like him, you dislike him. i'll vote for him, you won't. my reasons
won't convince you; yours won't convince me. futility isn't attractive
to me. we went through a similar exercise last year in which i gave you
some of my personal reasons for liking the guy and my view of his
accomplishments at that time.

btw...you didn't answer: what, if anything, could obama do to earn your
vote?

Ah...proving that "stupid friend in NC, " I take it...

it's apparent there is little you like about the president or those who
choose to like him and approve of the job he's done.

Seriously, though, why in the hell would you state such a thing, not even
halfway through his Presidency? Oh, yeah, that's right - I forgot about you and
Johnny Breck...

i stated it because that's my position... you've stated yours, and made
it relatively clear you don't approve of or support Obama.

Oops, nope. I've never said I don't support him - he's the POTUS, and if for no
other reason, I do support him until he does something that _I_ feel should
warrant the loss of that support. As to "approving" of him, no, I can't say
that I do, but then again, I can't say that I don't. It's about like asking me
if I "approve" of the guy who lives 2 doors down from you - he's a total
stranger. Thus far, he hasn't done much of anything on a national scale for one
to approve or disapprove - no real accomplishments, but no big failures.

I guess I
should have said, I'll vote for him again if he's the democrat's
nominee. Is there anything he could do that would earn your vote? G

Sure - he could do something, anything. Hell, even if he - him, personally -
hung his ass out over the line on something and got it handed back to him, at
least it would be _something_. Babe Ruth didn't get to be the Babe by only
swinging at the slow pitches.

i'm satisfied with him and his efforts. I voted for him
suspecting/knowing he'd not likely be able to accomplish his full
agenda...

Hell, he could have 73 terms, a lapdog Congress, the entire population of the
Americas on beck-and-call shovel-ready staff and the support of 214% of the
world's entire population (including Guam...twice), and 17 of him couldn't
accomplish all the **** he promised...OTOH, he's a politician, so, no, I don't
expect any of them to actually accomplish all the **** they promise...but there
are certain limits at which even moderated expectations are, well, strained to
the limit.

you think that is his individual fault, or his failing. i don't.

See above.

He's a democrat...the only other viable choice is a republican of some
stripe, and i'd sooner eat a turd than vote for that party's
presidential offerings.

Well, now, see, there's another way in which we differ. I'd vote for who I
thought to be the best viable candidate running. Which explains why I've
supported both Dems and Republicans.

BTW, I didn't support John (Breck) Edward's presidential run, only his
campaign for the senate seat against a republican. He had moptop,
flyaway hair in those days.

I like Obama's tone and thoughtful approach to things...

Um, that thing on your stereo that says "White Noise" isn't a special Beatles
button...and sometimes, a good leader has to go with their gut - sometimes, it
doesn't work out, but most times, at least for a _good_ leader, it does.

And I'll ask yet again - name 10...hell, 5...truly important things he's
accomplished.for the US citizenry as a direct result of his being in
office...IOW, **** he personally has accomplished. Hell, just list 5 reasons
you'd vote for him again regardless of what else might follow. While I can't
say he's done a _bad_ job, I can't he's done a good one either. Near as I can
figure, he hasn't done _anything" significant...and I'll even ignore the whole
"health care bill" debacle, because at the end of the day, it - as it currently
stands - won't actually do much, if anything at all, in the big scheme of
things.

"truly important things"...to satisfy you? hell, where's that turd.

I think he is going by "Giles" these days...

G I'll let you argue with others... but here are some reasons given by
others, many of which i had no, little, or only passing knowledge of,
but most of which I can include among the reasons i'll vote for him
again...and i choose not to ignore the health care reform. It was an
immense project and a significant accomplishment.

"He’s had a good first year,” says Ted Widmer, a presidential historian
at Brown University in Providence, R.I.
“Two of his biggest accomplishments are easy to overlook, but they were
both important. He kept the financial
crisis from becoming worse.

No, he didn't, because he could not have (and neither could any Prez). In fact,
some of what he did may well turn out to be disastrous...may not, too - only
time will tell.

And he vastly improved the way the rest of
the world thinks about America.”

Uh, yeah - now much of the world's leaders, esp. the Chinese, thinks "America"
is a soft touch they can push around. And the same folks that hated "America"
still do and will continue to so regardless of Obama.

And now, the numbers - 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 39

*Health care reform
* The "largest" economic stimulus bill in American history.
* Ordering the closing of Guantanamo Bay military detention facility and abolishing "enhanced interrogation techniques."

#9

* "Forge a meaningful statement from the United Nations" criticizing North Korea's launch of a ballistic missile.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! "Bad North Korea! Bad, bad, North Korea!" That one isn't
even fair to you, so let's pick another.

* Lifting travel and remittance restrictions for Cuban Americans who seek to travel more frequently to the island and send more US currency to their immediate family.

Hmmm...and why didn't he just lift the asinine "embargo" all together? OK,
another gimme, so let's try one more and go up 1..."Diminishing the role of
lobbyists in the White House" Oh, man, this isn't your day, is it? The promise
wasn't "diminishing the role," it was "no lobbyists." And not even two months
into office, he had signed several waivers. But I'd put this under the category
of basically unkeepable campaign promises - no real big deal, as far as I am
concerned.

Dr. Robert Watson: "His first six months have been even more active than FDRs or LBJs the two standards for such assessments. Yet, there is little media attention given to much of what he has done. Of late, the media is focusing almost exclusively on Obama's critics, without holding them responsible for the uncivil, unconstructive tone of their disagreements or without holding the previous administration responsible for getting us in such a deep hole. The misinformation and venom that now passes for political reporting and civic debate is beyond description.
As such, there is a need to set the record straight. What most impresses me is the fact that Obama has accomplished so much not from a heavy-handed or top-down approach but from a style that has institutionalized efforts to reach across the aisle, encourage vigorous debate, and utilize town halls and panels of experts in the policy-making process. Beyond the accomplishments, the process is good for democracy and our democratic processes have been battered and bruised in recent years."

Here's somebody else's top 7...which contains 5 reasons i'll vote for him.

#1 Health Care Reform

President Obama's sweeping health care reform bill establishes health care coverage as a right for all Americans. It expands coverage to 32 million more Americans while simultaneously reducing the deficit by $1.3 trillion over the next 20 years. It also makes illegal many of the health insurance industry's worst tactics for making more profit at the cost of people's health (including denying coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.)

#2 Successful Economic Stimulus

When Barack Obama took over the Presidency the country's economy was heading straight down due to the distrous policies of George W. Bush. In February Obama signed the stimulus into law and it has helped to stem the job losses. In fact economists say that over one million jobs have either been saved or added due to it.

#3 Eliminating Wasteful Spending

The elimination of the F-22 fight jet program is an example of some of the wasteful spending that Obama has eliminated as President.

#4 Sonia Sotomayor

Obama's first Supreme Court nominee was successful. She became the very first hispanic on the Supreme Court and only the 3rd woman.

#5 Credit Card Reform

The credit card reform bill that Obama signed in May of 2009 has helped to provide new protections for customers.

#6 Stem Cell Research

In May of '09 Obama signed an executive order allowing more federal money to be used for very important stem cell research.

Number 7:

#7 More Successful on Anti-Terrorism Than Bush

Obama launched more attacks on terrorists in his first year than did Bush in the last four years of his Presidency combined.

OK, list them. Come on, that's another "point" that's just plain goofy. There's
no way to tell such a thing in the present, even if all the facts were public,
and it's not a surety that even a historic lookback will tell such a thing.
Moreover, even if the supporting statement "more attacks" were true, the
mere number of "attacks" is meaningless without a whole lot more information. I
mean, what's "an attack?" What was the result of each one? How many bystanders
hurt or killed, if any?

But I will say this for him: thankfully, on that front, he has, much to _his_
personal credit, grown up pretty fast in that regard and thus far, seems to be
doing an acceptable job. I'd prefer it if he got the US the hell out of Iraq
and Afghanistan (like he promised), but IAC, as far as terrorism, he seems to be
doing as much as most of either party could do and doing it about as well.

yeah, yeah...i know you wanted to quibble with me personally. but we
both know i'm no match for you, and i've no desire to disappoint either
of us. G

Geez - all I asked for was 5 real, national accomplishments to explain why you'd
vote for him. And I get a CnP of mostly silly-assed crap about his
fuel-efficient vehicle policy, weaseling about "less" lobbyists with no mention
of the "_NO_" lobbyists promise he broke in the first, what, week(?) in office,
and a ****pot full of highly subjective, often incorrect stuff about how
wondrous he is.

I mean, really - is "Many more press conferences and town halls and much more
media access than previous administration" a real reason for someone to vote for
a person for POTUS, even assuming it to be true?
