You probably are correct. *It was bad judgment on my part to argue
with them -- rise to the bait, so to speak.

oh, by the way, you might want to take a look at swisher's and
richards' "no hackles" and/or some old classic flies (wet or
dry).....the kind made with paired duck quill wings.....for some ideas
relevant to your quest.

I love them. *They are about 85% of what I was looking
for. *I will be spending a lot of time of that site staring.

I did notice on his flies page, he give a black and white
picture of a Baetis spinner. *So, he is actually trying
to match the little buggers.

http://www.dougswisher.com/flies.htm

Do you mean the figure at top left? snort chortle That is a drawing
of the actual spinner, NOT one that he has tied. *What a maroon.

My sides are hurting .........

"Hurting" like REALLY bad?.......or just hurting like "Yeah, I'm still
an idiot who STILL thinks education is a joke."?

I mean, yeah, the distinction DOES matter.

g.
well, yeah, it does.

Why not tie your own?

If I get two hours on the river a month, I am doing
really well. *It is probably what keeps me from dying
from stress. *I just do not have the time. *It sucks.

Well, how about tying them at home? I mean, hell, it's a lot closer
to home, right? Saves time, right?

You will fid this interesting

I doubt it.....but go on.

Rank stupidity.

Nothing in this world is irresitible to fish......that's why fishing
remains interesting. And that's why you aren't a fish.

I am probably up to that. *:-)

More or less.....or not.....I suppose.

-T

Why is it my stalker can call me a "nitwit" and you
refuse?

I thought we had already covered that. You are, once again, starting
to get boring. Do yourself a favor.....when your schtick gets
tedious......even to yourself......do something different.

It does not mean anything if it does not
come from you.

NOTHING means anything unless it comes from me.....get used to it.

Maybe if I think up something really,
really stupid.

One is tempted to advise not taxing yourself, but.....

Aw man. *My brain hurts. *I just can't
do it.

Yes you can. Trust me.

Oh hell. *Maybe next time.

This time.....next time.....every time.

Yes. *I am still looking for a near match. *It is a pet project of
mine. *I would really like to see how it would do up against
the successful, conventions flies I use. *It is just a pet project.
I also realize that a bait fisherman who used a real Stonefly, etc.
is going to kick my ass every time. *I am just trying to catch up with
him. *Maybe I don't even have to. *The fun is in the trying.
I will see. *I will probably report back when I do. *This is suppose
to be fun.

So you come along, and I must say your questions are good at
stimulating FFing content posts, HOWEVER . . . given the mode of the
group you are free-loading.

I do ask a lot of questions. *That is how I learn. *When I state
my experience, sometimes backed up with references, those curmudgeons
you speak of, get a bit testy. *And, I do answer others questions
from time to time when I information to add. *My favorite stalker
does like to sneer at them, like my answer on the Cabelas' flies,
which I presume give him reason to live. *(See I do a service
for humanity.)

Your excuse about time doesn't wash, and
there IS something about your "voice" that evokes some long gone pain
in the ass, BUT your refusal to even key off of the Pirates'
suggestion, that you ID yourself to at least one regular of your own
choosing, is insulting. The character of this group is old-school
male; men don't show up in masks and play hidey games. You may very
well have some embarrassing crap to hide, you may be in prison, you
may be in some very security sensitive situation, you may be hiding
from the law or an EX, etc etc. All that aside, if you cannot at least
let one person here confirm a real identity in confidence, you are
indeed one sorry guy.

No I can not. *Please respect my wishes on this on this.

If it helps you. *I do not know any person on this group and I have
never posted on this group before under any other name. *Any
resemblense to persons in your past is coincidence. *I am not
who you think I am. *I am just Todd. *And, if I revealed my
identity to you, I will still be just Todd. *As for my writing
style, I am hermetically corny and have a scientific/engineering
background. *It influences my writing style.

*I suggest you not respond to my post ...

Oops. *Sorry. *:-)

-T

Well it sure didn't take you long to think it thru. Not even one
person can know the masked mans' identity. Juvenile. So we go on from
here. Lots of folks use a Sig, but then they also have real
identities, which is a basic safety item in non-authoritarian circles.
Right?

Sure. So lets put things on an equal plain of respect. From now on
you can call me by the name I prefer you alone to use. For you I am
"Lord and Master." You will know its Dave, my real name, you are
addressing as "LORD AND MASTER," I will still be Dave and as a sign of
mutual respect I will call you "TODD", and you will call me LORD AND
MASTER. I considered "LORD Poo-Bah of the Sketchy Archipelago," but
LORD AND MASTER just has a ring to it. As you say "Please respect my
wishes on this." As you were "TODD"

LORD AND MASTER (to "TODD")

I don't think education is a joke. Afterall, I am married to a lovely
woman with a PhD in physics. Not all people need or even should go to
college, Wolfgang. Both of my children are college educated. Joanne
and I have helped a neice get her Associate Degree. Education is
important for some people. I have two very successful sons-in-law; one
with a college degree, and one without. Both are equally successful.
A formal education is not always the answer. I'll take a man with a
work ethic and drive to succeed over one that went to college to
"succeed".

The Google CEO was talking about this just the other day. Folks
have a legal right to privacy but no such right exists regarding
anonymity. As for me, I consider anonymous posters cowardly and
beneath contempt. If you can't put your name on what you write,
why bother to write it ?

But, looking on the bright side, it's nice that Louie has a new
playmate. ;-)

Actually I think he is an "old" playmate. Something about his style

Ooooops, forgot. You aren't reading this.
