The article I saw just recommended a widening flat area near the end of the hook, and just snell the hook. Way easier than making an eye I crowd the eye already, now you are saying that I am going to have deal with a "widening flat area"????? bseg I bought some quick eye hooks once and didn't like them because they came off at the most inopportune time. Did the article mention any drawbacks to the widening flat method? -- Warren (use troutbum_mt on either yahoo or earthlink to respond via email) It clearly wasn't as good as an eye, and you have to get the right taper so the snell doesn't come off. Use hook size will depend on the type of fish you are fishing. Things like the type of bait to use, fishing line, size, topography, and even you can ask for different types of fishing hooks and size.
