![]() "Wayne Knight" wrote LSU just held one of the highest octane offenses ever to less than 200 yds. USC would not have a chance. i'm not so sure about that. leinart is clearly superior to white, and williams is simply the best receiver in the college game. just think back to peyton manning's performance earlier in the day for a reminder of what a great qb can mean to the chance of victory. if nothing else, the bcs demonstrated the irrelevance of the heisman award. yfitons wayno |

r.com... i'm not so sure about that. leinart is clearly superior to white, and williams is simply the best receiver in the college game. just think back to peyton manning's performance earlier in the day for a reminder of what a great qb can mean to the chance of victory. if nothing else, the bcs demonstrated the irrelevance of the heisman award. Only Chris Leake of Florida managed to do anything against the tigers this year, Manning, Greene (x2), White, and other good and great quarterbacks faltered against that defense. USC was not tested by an LSU or OK quality defense all year, Leinart would probably get off a few big plays but spend a significant amount of time on his rear, IMO. Even LSU's inconsistent offense could bomb the hell out of USC's secondary. USC is good, I agree, and on any given day any team can lose, but I would bet my T&T cane and my bogdan reel on LSU coming out on top. Alas, we will never know for sure what would happen. |
