welll, gawlllyyy...

...except on episode 150, "tv or not tv", goober's last name was
"beasley"...

Oops. He WAS Gomer's cousin though, right?

he was ... the episode 150 name was an anomaly which was never repeated,
and he was indeed goober pyle ... so, you were correct (dammit!).

Well, if I may be allowed a momentary indulgence in a sterteotype we are
thoroughly familiar with anyway, I s'pect he was as confused and uncertain
about his last name as we are.

jeff (working on his wllm buckley voice)

The voice we can live with.....if only just barely.....but please
don't adopt the politics.

not to worry... but billy's tough for a southern hick to imitate with a
straight fa... hey, wait a minute.

****, Billy is difficult to contemplate with a straight face.

Wolfgang
who, given the poor marksmanship demonstrated above, will keep his
bullet in his shirt pocket for a while.

g sending it to the laundry?

Either a reference to yet another episode I don't remember (it HAS been a
while) or something else that blew right by me. In either case, I plead
clueless.

See here now, I really do hope that you've got some sort of "Complete Desk
Reference to Ain't Bea an' All'a her Kinfolk an' Whatnot" sitting on the
desktop in front of you. I'd hate to think that all this arcane knowledge
about Otis and Floyd and......um.....well ****, what was the name of
Earnest's heartthrob (and didn't she grow up and find her way to Hee Haw a
couple of years later?)?.... and all the rest of Mayberry (not to mention
Mount Pilate) rattling around loose somewhere under your pate. I mean, that
sort of **** has been known to pop up all unexpected like at the oddest
moments........it could wreak havoc on courtroom decorum.

Wolfgang
who is nevertheless grateful for the tour down memory lane.

Oh yeah? Have a care, Sir; I have ample reason to believe that the North
Carolina bar association would take a keen interest in the fact that two of
its supposed stalwarts know WAY too much about a particular ancient
television show (when they SHOULD be concentrating on other matters) and are
willfully using that information to bugger a badger across state lines.
And, besides, next time I travel down that way I'm bringing Lenny AND
Squiggey with me.....and they will whup Gomer and Goober's ass!

HAH!

a county in nc has established a "beaver commission"... we don't need no
badger's to bugger. i hear they're payin 3 dollars for each beaver
bagged or buggered...dead or alive... anybody read cormac mccarthy's
"child of god"? i hear noises in attic's everwhere across carolina...

btw...the state legislators have been in the process of, and may have
completed by now, the installation of a statue on the capitol grounds in
raleigh honoring/memorializing the andy griffith show...no ****!! many
tar heels believe it's the only worthwhile bit of business accomplished
by the pols in decades...

"Barney: I've already lost two bullets in the laundry....
"Andy: And one other thing - when you send that shirt to the laundry,
unload."

"Barney: Well, like they say, the stock market is where they separate
the men from the boys. I'll see ya, boy.
Let me know if you come across one of them rare nickels with the buffalo
facing the wrong way.
Andy: I should have sold him that nickel. Then he'd have something
that's worth a nickel."

jeff (who confesses his entire andy griffith repertoire is dependent
upon the posts of a wisconsin cheesehead and a decent web search
engine...at least that's what i'm reporting when contacted by the state bar)

Still being forced to read, eh Willi?

Well, I think this has gone on just about long enough! Maybe Ste can give
you some knife fighting lessons and you can finally get those
****ers......whoever they are.....off your back, once and for all.

Whattya say, St? Here's your chance to redeem yourself for all those dead
gooks who got away......the slippery little *******s.

Wolfgang
it's the kids mostly......sometimes ya gotta kill 'em three or four times.
