Paul,
I think there's some tailwater stretches near Austin, on the Guadalupe (?). There are certainly some trout in Texas, but not any wild ones. Most Texans head to NM and CO, especially to the San Juan (they don't call it the Texas Hole for nothing!) for trout. San Juan Clave next December? bruce h |

Where the Colorado is dammed up in downtown Austin is called Town Lake and
farther north its called Lake Austin. Hippie Hollow is the name of the place where the naked skinny dippin' takes place, among other things. I believe its located on Lake Austin. I left Austin 2 years ago, but wasn't into FF when I lived there.
