Default Are there any trout in Texas

Paul,

I think there's some tailwater stretches near Austin, on the Guadalupe (?).
There are certainly some trout in Texas, but not any wild ones.

Most Texans head to NM and CO, especially to the San Juan (they don't call
it the Texas Hole for nothing!) for trout.

San Juan Clave next December?

What's the name of that lake near Austin where the UT folks go
skinny-dipping? Surely there are trout there. :-)

Where the Colorado is dammed up in downtown Austin is called Town Lake and
farther north its called Lake Austin. Hippie Hollow is the name of the
place where the naked skinny dippin' takes place, among other things. I
believe its located on Lake Austin. I left Austin 2 years ago, but wasn't
into FF when I lived there. The only place I ever heard of for trout was
the tailwaters of the Guadelope near Canyon Lake.
