The Joan Baez version is good, too. Great song.

I was completely blown away by "The Ballad of Sally Rose" when I first
heard it. It is still one of my favorite album--of any kind of music and
I lots of music.

Who thinks that wayno's list is just about as good as it gets. Just
specify early Jackson Brown and when you say early Fleetwood Mac you
mean stuff like "Bare Trees" and "Kiln House" (at least that's what I
hopin' ya mean :-) )
