Scott writes:

Terry McAuliffe hasn't even started yet, and he doesn't have to resort to
lies. Like it or not, Dave, this might just be a rough reelection for
Bush.

Scott, Bush's ANG record has been investigated more than the Dead Seas Scrolls.
There is nothing there. He did his time, has the points and the discharge to
prove it, yet McAuliffe continues with his lies.

I think it possible that neither Kerry nor Edwards will be nominated. A draft
Hillary movement could prevail.

At any rate, it almost doesn't matter to me anymore. Getting too old I guess.

At any rate, no one is going change anyone's mind ergo is doesn't matter
anymore except as a reason to denounce, insult, and find even more reasons
to argue with people over **** which none of us, save our vote (if eligible
in the USA) or monetary contributions, have too much say in anyway.

done until the other uglier Wayne chips in anyway.

The thought of another Clinton Presidency is thoroughly repellent. This may
well be the most frightening political possibility I've heard today.
There's something about Hillary that sets my back teeth on edge. I feel
very much the same way about her that I feel about Ashcroft.

But the day you quit caring, Dave, is the day they give someone your folded
flag.

yeah, who cares if your grandkids are paying out the wazoo to support a tax cut
for Ken Lay during a National Security Crisis? Therein lies the big crime.
Everyone blathers about how 9/11 changed everything....sure didn't change
Shrub's mind on rewarding his rich pals, did it?
Such patriotism! BTW, before anyone making less than $100,000 per annum tells
me about the wondrous tax cuts the middle class received, please do the math
and subtract figures for state, local tax increases, as well as increased user
fees and taxes on luxuries. Also, please subtract adequate amount for future
debt service, and then tell me how much this tax cut helps us all.

A book worth reading is _The Politics of Rich and Poor_, by Kevin
Philips. Philips was the Republican strategist credited with
inventing the "Southern Strategy" that got Nixon elected to the
Presidency. He then served as Assistant Attorney General until he saw
what was going on in the White House (it came to be called
"Watergate"), when he resigned in protest.

When ALL taxes are considered, the poor pay a higher percentage of
their income than the rich do. In other words, we have a regressive
tax system in the United States.

thank you, Vince....otherwise it would just seem like old Tom and his odd ideas
again. I have been touting this point for years and it is amazing how few
working people get it.

well, obviously, as shown by the brilliance of posts by working people
like lat757 or whateverthe****, working people are far more concerned with
directing their energies to far more important things like a couple thousand
gay people getting "married", or whatever the **** they want to do.
