I recall seeing a lot of pulling and tugging to remove flies from snags in

Sometimes a gentle roll cast directed at the tree will flip the fly out!

Fish on, my friend.

You guys must do some pretty damn effete' casting. When I hang a fly in a
tree, it ain't some pretty just sitting there on a leaf hangup you can roll
or puff cast away, the damn thing wraps itself around at least two branches
with the fly going around three times and the point stuck in the limb.

Wayne
doesn't everyone have to re-tie their leaders at least twice on a good trip?

Well said. :-) If I hang a fly up in an unreachable snag, I figure it's
a goner. If I succeed in pulling it free, that's a minor miracle, to be
most thankful for.
