One thing I found is that once I weaned myself from it I got to the point that I just don't like it very much and some foods, like icing on cake, I don't eat because I can't stand something with that strong of a taste of sugar. I can't drink coffee with sugar in it either. The reason I like Splenda is that there is no aftertaste, at least none that I can detect. I agree about oversweet foods like icing. I didn't eat much of that type of thing even before I started the diet.
