Anyone ever completed the slam? I understand the State of WY gives you a
nice certificate if you can prove you've caught all 4 species of Cutt-throat
trout. My brothers and I (one of which is the editor of American Angler
magazine) are going out in late July to try. Any hints will be appreciated.

Give my regards to Phil Monahan, but I believe there's only one species
of cutthroat trout, Oncorhynchus clarki (formerly Salmo clarki). You'll
be fishing for subspecies, and there are more than four, although
perhaps not in Wyoming.

BTW, how do you "prove" that you've caught all four "species"?
