Weird. How did Google know that in my dreams the fish are always
colored (and smiling) exactly that way?

I figure they're taking damselfly adults cruising just over the surface.

BTW, I had *my* big fish dream last night. I was fishing for shad in the
Connecticut river, and a bunch of people were watching me try to cast a shad
fly with a wall of trees behind me. I got a big take and something big
headed downstream. I somehow managed to get the fish on the reel and began
taking in line slowly. Oddly, my line was set up for a right hand retrieve
and I retrieve lefty so I kept turning the handle the wrong way. When I got
the fish near shore, somebody big, it might have been Timmay, grabbed the
fish and threw it to me like the salmon flingers at Pike Place market in
Seattle. I extended my arms to catch it and dropped my rod. It was a 28
inch rainbow, something that would never be in that river, but I reminded
myself about the millions of shad fry the fish would have for forage and
then I woke up. I figure Timmay owes me a new rod and reel. 6 weight,
medium fast action.

I'm nervous about a job interview today and maybe this is prophetic... I'm
fishing for something trivial, everything is screwed up, and I catch the big
one, and Timmay makes me lose a rod. Maybe I should just post my resume
here instead of job hunting.

Good luck on the job, and yes, Timmay still owes you a new rod.

Big and svelte? If so, yeah - that was me.

Hmmmm. Nope, it wasn't me after all. I would have proclaimed it undersized and
thrown it back.

Good luck on the job front, although your present job is much better for
scheduling fishing trips.

Good luck! Bad timing on starting a new job. Fishing season....no vacation
time...etc.

fishing for something trivial, everything is screwed up, and I catch the big
one, and Timmay makes me lose a rod.

Just keep both hands firmly on your rod during the interview, and you'll be OK.
