the one advantage of neoprenes over breathables is safety. Properly fitted
neoprenes with a belt trap little air and will allow little water into the wader. Breathable design is no different than the old rubber style waders which could cause an angler to float head down or fill with water making recovering from deep water difficult I also think neoprenes are a better choice for winter fishing and for use in a float tube.. Neoprenes can be had for much less $ than breahables meaning you could possibly afford a pair of both. Given breathables use neoprene feet one pair of wading shoes should fit both pairs if you consider this when making the purchase. -- there are no numbers in my email addy. Will be Stocking Foot (I already have shoes) My feeling is breathables would be better as they are well suited for warm Summer weather and One could wear layers underneath if going out in colder weather, whereas Neoprenes while good for Spring/Fall might be a little too much in the Summer. Any thoughts??? Thanks. LV |
