snakefiddler- (who is walking around her apartment wearing a fly vest and
toting around a rod, looking much like a displaced mental patient!) Snake, I know my dad. Be on the lookout for a guy asking for water massage therapy. By the way, I hope you're wearing more than just the vest. His heart can't handle the stress (then again, I could say that for most of us here). Dad, I see you've finally figured out the "Candy, little girl?" line just doesn't cut it any more. In all seriousness, great gesture. Good on ya. Now we just have to teach you to catch trout. -- Frank Reid Reverse Email to reply |

It always made me tear up when it played during the PBS "Civil War" series. (I.e. the War of Northern Agression to you fitons). I also cried when the film came to the subject of Lincoln's assassination. g.c. Who was very surprised that he'd give a hoot (much less, shed a tear) over any Republican's demise. |

Well **** son, I have to keep up my rep as a babe magnet, besides, that water therapy ain't half bad. :-) As to the "candy, little girl" routine, I haven't used that in, oh, say, 6 months or so...the older you get, the more it costs. ;-) Besides, here's a gal just dyin' to get into flyfishing and I had to stop the Chambana Drum and Bugle Corps from drumming her outta roff. Supposing she wound up in rec.outdoors.fishing.bubba.crankandwind....a fate she doesn't deserve. I expect good karma to come of this, maybe in catching the biggest smallie of my life, if not that, maybe she'll invite me to a bluegrass festival where she is starring. Good on ya, Frank, but I notice you sent along a KPOS, no sense wasting a good rod on a newbie, eh ? ;-) Perhaps from tawdry beginnings something decent will grow, you never know. But I still can't help wondering what the hell she's doing here in the first place. Well done, Frank.
Welcome to the ranks, Snakefiddler. Wear your neophyte status proudly. Ashokan Farewell? Lovely little piece written for contra dancers by Jay Unger, formerly of Cat Mother and the All Night Newsboys. My favorite reading of this resides on Common Chord, with David Grisman, mandolin, Daniel Kobialka, violin, and Jerry Gacia, guitar. -- Stev Lenon 91B20 '68-'69 Drowning flies to Dark Star http://web.tampabay.rr.com/stevglo/i...age92kword.htm |
