That is not a Mercury product. It is a Force. Chrysler sold it's OB division
to Force in 1985. It is a Chrysler designed product. It is not the best engine, but is easy to work on. Parts are getting expensive. Make sure the compression is good in all cylinders - within a couple PSI of each other at least. I used to own a 1985 Force. Glad to get rid of it when I did. "Sam" wrote in message om...
