Default Wales in June

(OK, I put this into the 'snowballs chance in hell' category...)

I have an open week in midJune before I need to be in Plymouth, England for
grad school. I've made some reservations to get myself into south-central
Wales from June 15-20, as there are apparently quite a few very nice
trout/greyling/salmon streams there, amongst the headwaters and tributaries
of the Why and Usk rivers. I'm planning on renting a car and a small suite
at a B&B in a small Welsh (Welch?) town that has a pub, some interesting
local culture, some good food, some scenery, and some trout streams.

If anyone has a week off, needs/wants to be on this side of the pond, and
wants to do some exploring of the region and do some flyfishing,
Wales-style, get in touch. It would be fun to have the company.

I was thinking of going over to the North of England later this year. I
will have to see if it is possible to meet up with you in Wales. 15th to 20
th should be possible. I will get back to you.

I hope you do, Mike! I'm ticketed to fly from Amsterdam to Bristol on June
15: if you want to meet in the Netherlands, we could fly in together and
split a rental rig in Bristol. Otherwise, if you drive across, I'd be glad
to meet you somewhere convenient (like the airport in Bristol) :-). Let me
know if your plans work out.

If I do make it, I would bring the car. I just got a new one, still a
Pajero, but the long wheel base diesel. I can sleep comfortably in this
car, the previous one was too small. Whether I make it depends on what my
relatives are doing. Have to wait til the end of May to find out exactly.

OK, end of May it is. Congrats on following through and getting the LWB. Its
a nicer rig, and will certainly be more stable at the outrageous speeds you
drive. Glad to know you'll probably be with us for a longer time. :-)

IF you do make it, maybe you can toss in a small tent for me (if you have
one) and we can just be river nomads while we're fishing. I'm still checking
out B&Bs , but I'll cancel those arrangements in a heartbeat if your plans
work out to come along. We'll keep communicating on it.

OK. I have a two man Iglu. I will chuck it in the car. I just spoke to my
brother, and it looks like I will make it. More later. Have to tie up a
load of these unpronounceable welsh flies now!
