![]() Bob Has anyone on this list fished on the Gaula in Norway, if so Bob would you be so kind as to pass on the names of any patterns that Bob worked for you, I will be going there end June and would like to Bob try and tie some fly's to take with me. Yes I have, in 1998 I think. While I did not catch anything, nor did 4/5 of our group, our !#%%&/ guide (sort of) caught a salmon every freaking day. I think he caught them all with the same type of fly, called Gaula Green Butt. You can find the description of the pattern here in Finnish http://www.fishmaster-finland.com/Perhomalleja.htm but I can also translate them to make things easier for you :-) tag: oval silver tail: fluorescent antron body: black silk ribbing: oval silver throat: yellow underneath, black on top wing: black fox I've seen them tied in both tubes and traditional hooks. Tight lines, and let us know how your trip turned out to be. -- Jarmo Hurri Commercial email countermeasures included in header email address.
