![]() "Ray" wrote in message ... I have recently returned to fly tying but tempus fugit has made life significantly more difficult even with glasses, I have tried using a small flexible magnifying glass in front but have not found that very satisfactory, suggestions please?? Two words...Luxo Lamp....I actually use a cheap imitation I got at Wally World for about 40 bucks. For small flies, I just look through the magnifier, while wearing my glasses. It's got a decent light that I can use even when I'm not using the magnifier. The lamp can tend to get in the way at times, but I found that I can swing it away, manipulate the materials, and then swing it back to check my work. It's not a big deal to me, as I got used to it when I was doing PC board inspections (before I wore bifocals). Mark --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
