Generally they are the out and out commercial fisheries where the fish might well starve if they didn't get their daily hundredweight of high-protein mix. Imo you should avoid the overstocked commercial 'puddles' all year. In Suffolk some local clubs do keep some of there still waters open all year so that is an avenue worth considering if you are a member or choose to become one. As an example, one of my clubs keeps a 25 acre pit (which is one of my more favoured venues) open all year. Regards ....... Richard |
