What sort of waters and which part of the country are you fishing ?

What is the average weight of fish there ?

Are other people catching doubles - if so you may need to look at changing
your methods.

If not you can't expect to catch fish that are not there - you may need to
look at other waters .

I know how you feel but you do need to set realistic targets for the waters
you fish - if it only holds a very small percentage of doubles you must be
patient.

For example, I fish a RMC syndicate water in Hertfordshire that holds a
large number of fish including numerous 20's but it has taken me approx. 8
years to catch a 30. OK different weights but the same principals apply -
you should not expect to catch the largest fish in the water every week.

Keep at it and good luck - if it was that easy we wouldn't enjoy it !

Russell
