As this is about your fifth request, it's safe to say that no one has
been there!
:-)

From what I've read on google, it's a good match water and some
matches are won with 80lbs +.
You don't say what tactics, method, baits etc you are thinking of
using?
Pole? Float rod?

IMHO you'd be wise to use the pole, take a cupping kit and use it!
As the lake seems to be full of silver fish and small carp, I'd be
looking at a pint and half of maggots along with a pint of pinkies for
feeding, a kilo of groundbait, ready mixed with a few drops of your
chosen flavour in it.
Get some crushed pellets from the tackle shop and make it into a paste
the night before if you want to catch carp, also the night before,
soak your expander pellets so that they are ready to hook on (if you
want the freebies to sink you have to squeeze the air bubbles out of
them before cupping in)
Cut your meat etc the night before and store in the fridge ready for
use.
Have a spare rod / top kit ready for emergencies during the match or
for when you want to change tactics.

As I've never been there, this is all I can tell you!

Of all the people online, less than one in ten know what a newsgroup
is - there are only about 20 or 30 regular posters in here and they
are spread all over the country(and some further afeild), there are
many more 'lurkers' who choose not to post.....search on google for
lakeview fishery, use the advanced search as you can stipulate exact
phrase and specify from UK only, cutting out all the overseas un
related garbage:
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en_extra

There's quite a few results, some including match reports.
