At last, I think i've got the hang of being able to cast a 'soldier' of
bread(as in dunking in an egg), A bloke told me to thread the hoof a couple of times longways, but instead of the hook going into the crust, do it the other way round, where you go in at the crust end 1st, in,out, and pull the hook into the opposite end to the crust...worked best for me as I got 5 takes, and every one 'hooked', my 1st 'double' got off though, and forgive the cliche, but this was 'the biggy', probably would have doubled my best of 9lb 8oz..and 30 odd, between 6 and three now in the nasty nines..All the Best.....FRED.BTW, this was at Moon Lake...Tattershall. Very envclosed and really serene, nice place to relax,....but surface fishing is anything but relaxing eh?, you can never settle,.............Any TIPS anyone...Re' off-the-top Carp.....FRED C |
