Default Battery Charger Woes

I was checking things out on my boat, and I noticed one bank would not stop
charging. I unplugged the charger and checked the voltage. The one that
had stopped charging read 12.98 volts and the one that was still charging
read 13.98 volts. I am thinking its time for a new charger. (The batteries
are only a few months old)

Next time, reverse the hookups, so each charger is charging the OTHER battery.
If the problem stays with the battery, it's the battery. Not unusual for a few
month old battery to go bad. There are such things as manufacturing defects,
after all.

That is a good idea. I hadn't seriously considered that. I will check the
water levels, and swap the banks on the charger. Thank you.
