No help, but I have half of the same problem. get 'em big enough to
fit me and the feet are too big. Bah. I have to lose weight. I have
a very nice pair of breathable Cabela's women's size (it was an
excellent sale). Too tight to get into above the pelvis. Too tight
to wear anything under above the ankles. Feet are just fine,

Why do you care about the feet? Just stick your foot in all the way,
and have all the excess bunched up and around your ankle, like if you
had a tube sock that was too big.

These are bootfoot waders. If they were stocking foot, no problem.
Hey, snakefiddler, go for stocking foot waders?

yeah, i'm looking at stockingfoot waders, since i have a great pair of
boots. do most of ya'll use full waders or hipsters? as it is now, i am
frequently in standing in water up to my rear end, sometimes a little
deeper, but i don't anticipate going into water much deeper than that, so
guide pants might even do the trick. however, my thought is that since i am
making the purchase i might as well go ahead with the extra coverage just in
case. plus, being cold natured, a little extra at the top wouldn't hurt.

i won't be purchasing a pair of waders until fall, but i looked at
some today. i'm hoping that some of ya'll may have had an
experience similar to the one i had, maybe with a wife, girlfriend,
daughter, or someone. i tried on a pair of smalls. they were
pretty big in the hips, and rear end (less an issue than the
length)- i wear a 61/2 shoe, (i'll be buying a sock foot) so the
foot fit, but they come up to between my neck and my shoulders. an
extra small will probably work for my height and weight (i am
fairly small), but the foot size would be too small. any of ya'll
have any experiences like this- or have any ideas?

thanks in advance for any help.

Get a pair made for women.

Scott

even with women's waders, there is a foot size/ height compatibility
issue. i have time to look into it further, though, and i will. i
have looked at some on the internet, and have seen a couple that come
close. i may just have to bite the bullet, and buy a pair a little
long, so long as they will still fit under my armpits. i'm really
not concerned with how loosely they fit. i'm also thinking that maybe
a large boy's size might work. custom made would be nice, but can't do
it on my student budget.

Don't forget that wader inseams are usually given from crotch to floor,
not to the top of the foot.

My experience was that I started with mud boots, and discovered that I
wanted to wade to my knees. So I got hip boots, and discovered that I wanted
to wade to my waist. Then I got low chest waders and discovered that they
leaked everytime I was standing hipdeep and reached down or bent over just a
little. Now I have high chest waders, and a lot of gear that I don't use.
Go for stockingfoot chest-high waders, I'd suggest.

(And by now, you should be regretting not bidding on those Simms.g)

( smart ass G)
i would have loved to- couldn't though. summer school loans are pretty
small and the money i make with my two jobs goes to all my necessities.
plus, if i recall correctly, they were a medium.

Neither did I. Makes sense once you think about it. But I don't
think women consider inseams much. Women's stuff is sized for girth
or 'petite' and that's it. Guys always have inseam to consider with
anything covering their legs.
