Well, since I am new to flyfishing, and you seem to know all about it,

I'll
ask you. What pound test line is light enough to play the little flies
without weighing them down?

10-50 pound.

What do you use for bait?

mixture of beef and dog.

Where do I get the proper license?

Dont worry about that before the institution lets you out.

And how do you cook the little delicacies?

Just eat them raw like you did before they put you away.

CHICK FIGHT!!

Wolfgang
oh, this is gonna be SO fun!

Personally, I've never seen a legitimate fly fishing question asked here where
no legit responses were received. When someone new blasts into roff and first
posts some tripe like that above,

Ahh come on, i asked a harmless question but apparently it caused a lot
of comotion :-). But dont answer if you dont want to its a free world. I
dont think i used a very offensive approach (notice the smiley) but take
it as you want.

and then posts something a few minutes later
asking for help, I'm not sure what kind of response were actually expected.

Some advice offcourse and that i got :-)

It's Clinton's fault I have to plaster the walls.

While you pansies libs are off sashaying up and down the beach on your

fishing
jaunts, don't worry - us neo-cons will be doing the hard work necessary to

hold
this country together.

Man, and I thought youse guys were only good at white wash.

Hi

Just visited this group to se if there where some interesting stuff
about flyfishing, but there doesnt seem to be much about that topic, how
odd :-)

Take care

Jakob

Jakob,
Not very odd at all.
Do you talk only about fly fishing with your fly fishing friends?
I'll bet not.

Think of ROFF as the pot bellied stove in the back of a fly shop with
a bunch of chairs around it. Fly fishers stop by from time to time and
pull up a chair to chew the fat but more than likely they will not
talk about fly fishing a lot. A bunch of folks will stand back away
from the stove, content to listen to the discussion but will offer a
comment once in a while. When they're not interested in the topic
they'll walk up front & test a rod or just leave & come back tomorrow,
as will many of the folks at the stove.
This is where fly fisher folk hang out when they are not fly fishing
to talk about all the issues that interest them and if a non-fishing
subject comes up they will talk/argue about it with the same fervor
they argue about the fly fishing topics.

Got a fly fishing question? Just ask and it will be answered.
Got a political comment? Just make it and, like most free ranging
discussion around this pot bellied stove, it will too be knocked about
and discussed.

You are a part of the crowd. Pull up a chair and make the discussion
what you want it to be.
